Course Description
Substance Abuse and Older Persons: Part Three: Treatment Planning examines the role of clinical case management in the development of treatment plans for older persons. The course describes the unique needs to be addressed in treatment planning, and the contents of a model treatment plan for substance abuse among older persons. The course ends with a description of the first step in treatment – detoxification — for both alcohol and drug dependency.
Credit Hours
This course has been approved by The National Association of Social Workers and National Board of Certified Counselors for 5 Continuing Education Hours. (CEH 5)
