Course Description
Substance Abuse and the Elderly – Part Two: Understanding Drugs of Choice and Aging examines alcohol and prescription drug abuse among the elderly. The course includes clinical definitions of abuse and the difficulties in detection among elderly persons living in the community. It builds on the material covered in Part One to prepare professionals and care givers involved in the care and treatment of elderly persons at risk for alcohol or prescription drug abuse.
